A Special Cause
Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
When we were first awarded our chapter for Hamilton, our 1st Officer decided to designate the Cystic Fibroses Foundation of Canada as our charity of choice to support. Now there are plenty of very worthwhile charities out there and all for great causes, but this one hit close to home with our chapter. All money raised by our chapter during events and our donation/fine jar go to the CF Foundation. This year we presented the Cystic Fibroses Foundation with a check for just over $500 at our anniversary celebration in February.
We also throw our support behind the Kinsmen Club of Cayuga’s Poker Run for Cystic Fibroses Research. This year, the ride is being held on Saturday, June 6th, 2009. Please click here for more details and pledge sheets for this year’s ride. Last year we were able to help raise $25,000, and we’re hoping you can help us to do even better this year.
